Happy Birthday Mum!

This week marks a special occasion.

That’s right, the other half of the Duo is one year older!

Happy birthday Mum! Love you.

As the end of the school year approaches, I’m getting excited for the busy race season that we are going to have this summer. Being 7 hours away at school, it’s pretty tough for us to do races together during the school year, so the summer is always a prime time for us to knock off a few states on the list. As I’ve already mentioned, we’ll be running the Runners World Heartbreak Hill Half-Marathon in June.

We have also recently added another race to the calendar – the Mad Half Marathon in Vermont (according to their website, it’s the World’s Most Beautiful Marathon… I’m excited !).

The description of the race from the website reads,

“You will be running through this extraordinary rural community on back and dirt roads, with breathtaking views of the Green Mountains, challenging rolling farmlands with tough climbs and descents, quaint villages, historic barns, covered bridges and fields of our famous Vermont cows!”

Sounds pretty nice, huh?

We’re hoping to do a few more in the New England area too. We’ve got to keep making progress towards our goal!

50 states

Do you have any fun plans for the summer?

Our summer plans include a cruise in the British Virgin Islands on a 52′ Cataraman with 8 others in July, and a trip to Cumberland Island, a Georgia barrier island in August (and getting married in June).
