I love me some granola for breakfast in the morning, so I was very excited to try my hand at making some from scratch!
The results were great- a nice, hearty breakfast cereal to mix with some almond milk, banana slices, or any other fruit you might want!
Homemade Granola Recipe:
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 2 tbs chia seeds
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- 1/4 cup chopped dates (STIR IN AFTER COOKING)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tbsp honey
- 2 tbs brown sugar (or more depending on desired sweetness)
- 1 tbs canola oil
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Combine oats, chia seeds, and almonds. Add in honey, brown sugar, and canola oil, stirring well. Bake 15 minutes, then stir/flip granola. Cook an additional 15 minutes. After removing from oven, stir in dates. ENJOY!
